Uptown Folk Club - Open Stage Schedule
Uptown Folk Club's mandate is to promote local performers. To help accomplish this we host open stages, complete with raised stage, lighting, and a fully equipped audio system with a sound technician. The open stage includes a DVD copy of your performance which will be given to you by evenings end.
Open stages are held on the third Friday of every month during our season (some exceptions may apply). Sign up is from 6:30 - 7:00 p.m., first come first serve. Performers are limited to 3 songs or 15 minutes (on-off stage). Performance time is from 7:00 - 11:00 with 2 short intermissions. $5.00 for non-members and $0 for members. Yearly membership is $20.00, April 1 - March 31.
A concession is operated with beverages and meals. Draws and door prizes are part of the evenings entertainment. Expect a wide variety of performers! Always entertaining. Everyone is welcome to participate as an audience member or encouraged to come up and perform.
Many of Edmonton's best known folk & roots performers have started their careers on our open stage. Families, young and old, anyone with a musical persuasion, come and check us out! Uptown is an All Ages Club!
